when we were teaching the kids about the lunar cycle they seemed really interested. when they came in the class they had no idea what a lunar cycle was. they thought that it was the moon changing into different shapes. the lunar cycle takes about 29.5 days to complete. and there are 8 phases in the cycle.

Well we are in to our 3rd week at confluence academy and everything has been going great. it seems like the kids here really prepared for our classes and the know alot. They have learned so much in these few weeks. From my experience i have learned things such as different personalities. and i am so glad that I had the oppurtunity to come and teach here

Next week is going to be so fun it is the last week of work for the summer and also we are doing our most fun activity.  This activity is the unisphere. I think this is the most fun activity because we teach it as a whole group instead of in teams of 2 and i don't have to memberize that much info.

NEXT WEEK WE ARE GOING TO START TEACHING THE UNISPHERE. THE UNISPHERE IS THE PORTABLE PLANETARIUM. WE HAVE TO LEARN THE PARTS OF THE NIGHT SKY AND HELP THE KIDS RECONGNIZE THEM.

the last 2 weeks we are teaching the kids about the moon called lunar cycle about the phases and also next week we are going to go in the planetarium to teach them about the big dipper

IM DONE

  Our kids is learning about the planets which is our solar system.  We teached them  this activity called solar system in your pocket. This activity was to show how far each planet is away from the sun.The activity was okay but learning it to teach the kids it was not fun but working with the kids to do the activity it was fun. The activity i liked doing with the kids was Space Probes because it was funny how they came up with different things with the materials that we gave them to use.
